Details:
A born musician and performer Steve Eskin M.D. organized his first band at age 9 and has always been serious and passionate about his art. He has composed over 200 original compositions including classical and jazz as well as over 150 songs of various styles including rock, blues, reggae and country. He has appeared in numerous New York City venues and has received airplay of several of his compositions. The highly interactive RocDoc and the Healers Traveling Show (created and produced by Steve Eskin) has touched an average of 1,000-2,000 children per week during the 2001-2002 school year alone.

Steve Eskin has performed professionally since the age of 13, and following completion of his medical studies and training, resumed writing and performing, in the jazz, then popular music scene. In 1997 he created ROCDOC Enterprises devoted to teaching Public Health to children using music. He has performed for thousands of children around the country, in public schools, museums, hospitals, as well as other venues. Dr. Eskin was recently featured in the NHK/Japan documentary "New Yorkers", seen by 14,000,000 viewers in Japan, and has been featured in several local and national newscasts, as well as the N.Y. Post and Daily News
RocDoc Enterprises seeks to interface this approach of "life balancing" behavioral information with high energy entertainment.

RocDoc has been endorsed by the American Lung Association, American Heart Association, New York City Board of Health and the New York City Board of Education.

"INTRODUCING THE ROCDOC" - is ROCDOC's first album of songs performed throughout the country during 3 years of touring (mostly in NYC, the northeast, and Texas) , tried and true tunes, which never failed to reach kids. All songs are topical, but the lyrics are edgy, funny and all tunes, pretty much rock with tight instrumentals. As the ROCDOC once said "When I was 9 years old I wasn't listening to Sesame street, I was listening to Led Zeppelin !!!!
