Rosa Lamoreauxâsopranoâhas been hailed for her versatile musicianship, her radiant, engaging, and effortless singing, the diversity of her repertoire, and her many fine recordings. After winning the Handel Aria Competition at the Aspen Music Festival and an honor as finalist in the Oratorio Society Competition of New York, her career has taken her to the Royal Albert Hall, Carnegie Hall, the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, and the Kennedy Center, among others. She has been soloist with the Atlanta Symphony and the Cincinnati Symphony and has won critical acclaim for her performances at Bach festivals in both the US and Europe. Recent and up-coming performances include Gloria by Handel at Grace Cathedral San Francisco, Shostakovich 14th Symphony with the Northwest Chamber Orchestra, St. John Passion of Bach at the Washington National Cathedral, Barberâs Knoxville Summer of 1915 with the National Philharmonic Orchestra, and recitals at the National Gallery of Art. A popular chamber music performer, she is the Artistic Director of the National Gallery of Art Vocal Ensemble and performs with the Folger Consort, ArcoVoce, and Hesperus, and she has toured with Musicians from Marlboro, and performed in Italy with the Carmel Bach Festival Chamber Musicians. Many of Rosa Lamoreauxâs performances and recordings have been broadcast on National Public Radio, BBC and CBC.

Wolfgang Basch â trumpet- was born in Wiesbaden, Germany. He is a much sought after guest soloist for numerous orchestras in Europe, Russia, Israel, Japan, North and South America, including the Bamberg Symphony; Radio Orchestras of Berlin and Köln; Stuttgart Chamber Orchestra; Chamber Orchestra of St. Petersburg Philharmonic; Orchestra Sinfonico di Milano; Jerusalem Symphony; Israel Chamber Orchestra; Orchestra de Chambre François Paillard; Orpheus Chamber Orchestra; New World Symphony and the Savannah Symphony. Mr. Basch is also a favorite at music festivals including Schleswig-Holstein and Rheingau Music Festivals; Berliner Festwochen; London Bach Festival; Israel Festival; and since 1985 at the Carmel Bach Festival in California. He has taught master classes for Rice University, De Paul University, University of British Columbia and Western Michigan University. His 1992 world premiere performance of âVaudevilleâ by Paul Schoenfield, for piccolo trumpet and orchestra with the New World Symphony, John Nelson conductor, is available on the Decca label. Since 1976 Mr. Basch has been the principal trumpeter of the Opera Orchestra, Frankfurt/Main.



John Butt â organ- is in great demand as an organist, harpsichordist, and conductor of early music and has performed extensively in Britain, Germany and the USA. He was born in Solihull, England in 1960 and was a music scholar at Solihull School. He held the office of organ scholar at Kingâs College, Cambridge, and was a pupil of Gillian Weir and Peter Hurford. After graduating from Cambridge in 1982, Mr. Butt continued as a research student as Cambridge University studying the music of Bach and surveying articulation markings in primary sources. He received the Ph.D. in 1987. He has taught at University of California at Berkeley, and at Cambridge University founding the ensemble, Kingâs Voices. He is currently on the faculty of the University of Glasgow, Scotland. His books, Bach Interpretation, Music Education and the Art of Performance, The Cambridge Companion to Bach and a book on Bachâs Mass in B Minor are all published by the Cambridge University Press. Discography includes eight solo recordings for Harmonia Mundi, and recordings with the Philharmonia Baroque Orchestra.
