Roberta Belson is an internationally known musician who performs as a solo harpist and piano accompanist through the United States and Europe.

Roberta graduated from the famous High School of Music and Art (the basis for the movie & TV series, âFameâ), in New York, and the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia where she studied with world-renowned harpist and composer Carlos Salzedo, as well as accompanist/pianist Vladimir Sokloff and Metropolitan Opera star Marshall Sanger.

For 18 years she lived and worked in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy, where she coached and accompanied Opera luminaries such as Placido Domingo, Luciano Pavarotti, Martina Arroya, Simon Estes and Benita Valente. She has also worked with noted conductors Alberto Erde, George Szell, Nello Santi and Ricardo Muti.

Upon returning to the United States, Roberta settled in Los Angeles, becoming a studio harpist, and recording numerous soundtracks for TV and movies. She was also opera coach at Cal State Long Beach.

Roberta was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1986. Her successful healing journey brought forth an epiphany that allows her to more deeply express her commitment to peace and the preservation of the natural world. Robertaâs music has the power to heal as she incorporates âguidedâ transmissions into her performances and recordings.

âDeep Communionâ is the natural marriage of Robertaâs classical training and the âguidedâ music she has continued to open herself to. The whales and oceans have long called to her with the message that whales are conscious beings wanting to connect with humankind. Roberta now lives near the ocean in Mendocino, California where she built her home in the dream sanctuary of the gentle redwoods.
