Who Rashaad really is....

In the dirrty streets of the ATL, a star was born. Preston Blackburn, otherwise known as Rashaad graced the world with his talent at a young age. With his debut album, 'Take Cover', comming out this fall, you will realize that this fourteen year old is no joke! Since he was a child, he has always had the love for writing. Over the years, his love grew and he started to express himself through poems and short stories. In time, he started writing songs for what he never thought would turn out to be the heart of his first cd.

Journey to the Past....

Growing up, he has always been around music. His sister was very musically sound and taught him a lot. His first performance was on the Apollo Kids stage. He never dreamed that, that was the foundation to his future success. From there he took voice training, where he studied under the direction of Dr.Martha Shaw. He also got into acting at the Alliance theatre. He took what he learned back to school and won numerous amounts of talent shows. He also performed at the Southlake and Shannon Mall. Rashaad has done a lot to get where he is today and he will only get better.

What's to Come?.....

Rashaad has a lot of dreams that he wishes to fulfill. Singing isn't the only mountain he wasnts to climb. He is skilled in a lot of things and each one tugs at his heart strings. 'Take Cover' is going to be this fall's must have and we never expected anything less from him. They've compared him to Tevin Cambell, Ruben Studdard, and even Usher. With idols like Brian McKnight and Toni Braxton, you can only imagine the things he can do. Rashaad never lets anything stop him from getting what he wants. He's a hard worker and continues to have faith in everything that goes on. But I must warn you; if we don't start taking him seriously, we're all going to be taking cover quite soon!
