Freeing the slavery from our everyday struggles in life. That's the music coming to you from The RAiLROAD PROjECT. Through the art of expression utilizing pen, paper, mind, body, soul, instrumentation, and talent is what this versatilie Hip Hop based crew straight out from Pomona is all about. The FREE ADMISSION MIXTAPE is a collection of tracks the RP has completed in order to show what they've experienced in life and throughout the process of making this mixtape. The RAiLROAD PROjECT not only produce themselves, but they also produce for others. RP provides music production services as well as recording so hit us up if you want a hot beat from the versatile producer INSTRO. To learn more about how the crew came about read on. Back in 2000 after high school, CLAiM attended Mt. SAC. Not knowing what was destined for him in his musical pursuits he continued on to pursue his dream of solely just making music. He took general ed courses which included the only music class he had collegiate chorale while holding down two jobs. Out of the two jobs, work-study was one of them where he was a computer lab assistant. That's when CLAiM met up with INSTRO in the lab with the most out of the ordinary question to ask in the first place. "Do You Make Beats?", considering it was a time when music production wasn't mainstream and INSTRO was quite surprised with that question because he was as a matter of fact into making beats. So these two exchanged numbers and from there RAiLROAD PROjECT was just a name in the air that INSTRO was carrying. After months of just making music for fun, INSTRO, an instinctive learner of beat making and a fan of the underground/mainstream hip hop scene influenced CLAiM on that lifestyle and the art it carried. CLAiM, being the fan of R&B was now influenced by the art of rhyming and writing patterns, which didnt take him away from R&B but expanded his mind of lyrical content in terms of writing songs. After a waste of attending that institution but since was a gain of crossing paths and the realization of making great music, these two talented individuals attended Citrus College where studying the technical end in music production and recording was what they envisioned. With the success of completion in the Recording Arts Program from Citrus College as Sound Engineers, the pair met up with INSTRO's long time friend emcee SEViRR. SEViRR met INSTRO while rapping with Van Le. SEViRR and Van met each other in 1996-97 at Diamond Bar High School. Mainly a social outcast at school SEViRR would get his knowledge starting off in hip hop with graffiti; as well as Van. It wasn't until 1998 , when they would really take rapping to the point where they felt like writing it. It was always a way to vent their frustrations and sometimes our dreams. Well during the year of '98 SEViRR met INSTRO and worked together here and there but when Van left to college he wouldn't see either one of them for a while. In 1999 SEViRR met another producer and started working with him for a while, on some low end label that never really knew how to treat an artist that had skillz. In the meantime he would struggle with variuos jobs and trying to go to college hahaha we all know that shit doesn't work for all of us so SEViRR said fuck it. NO more college bullshit I need my chips. He never stopped trying to get his music done. One of the illest rappers to teach him anything was the homie Orbit RIP but he was murdered a few years on the freeway he died at MLK, him (orbit marvin and the rest of the coo ass niggaz that aren't here are my inspiration for this music they wouldn't lemme quit this shit). Back and forth with studios and being broke finally linked up with INSTRO again but they didn't work together during that time. He wanted to form a large ass group called the RAiLROAD PROjECT but it fell through and I shook. It wasn't until SEViRR got a phone call he thought was his brother, but ended up being another mans voice. He said who is this who has my brothers shit, and it was INSTRO who replied and from then on SEViRR would work with him with the intentions of making his first real album with real ass beats and good studio time. He was set but then he said he was ready to come out with the RAiLROAD PROjECT and he was unselfish then said fuck it lets do it my album can wait one more year. The RP was established. The FREE ADMISSION MIXTAPE was created and completed. And from there.... HISTORY was made.
