In 2002 singer/songwriter Roberta Crowder sent her demo tape to (SRS) Songwriters Recording Studio in Santa Barbara, California. Producers Cory Colt Orosco and Ernie Joseph Orosco took on the project and brought in special guest to perform and create the "American Gypsies".

I am painting about my life.
From being an adolescent run-away
To the birth of a precious child
The death of a close friend
And In between, when I went wild.
I may have written about you
Hidden somewhere in a rhyme
Memories are forever
