Details:
With his two most recent releases, Rhody In Black & White (2005) and Journey (2003), which includes guest appearances by JohnPrine, John Hartford, Jamie Hartford and Maura O'Connell), folk/alt-country artist Alan Rhody has assembled the best songs from his 30-year singing and songwriting career.

Rhody In Black & White is a 21 song retrospective ranging from Alan's first recordings in the Canadian folk scene of the early seventies with, "My Kentucky" (London Records Canada) through his own versions of his best known songs that have been made into hits and recorded by some of the biggest artists in folk, country and bluegrass including Del McCoury, Kevin Welch, Murray McLauchlan, Lorrie Morgan, Tanya Tucker, Ricky Van Shelton and The Oak Ridge Boys. The collection is also drawn from his own releases Stop The Rain (1981), Border Crossings (1986), Dreamer's World (1992), From A Real Good Home (1995), and Pieces Of Essence (2000) plus a few brand new songs!

Journey has been praised by every musical journalist that's reviewed it and has become Alan's best seller to date.

Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Alan taught himself to play guitar and harmonica while in art college. He lived and worked in Canada (Vancouver, B.C. ('69 -'71/ Toronto, ONT '71 - 77), and made numerous network TV appearances, including The Ian Tyson Show and released two singles on London Records Canada. It was around that point that the endless tour began.

Alan and his family remained in Toronto until 1977, relocating to Nashville, Tennessee where he has been based since.

"Rhody In Black & White" is his seventh solo release.
Recent performance highlights include The Stan Rogers Folk Festival, Canso, NS / The Kerrville Folk Festival, Kerrville, TX / The Florida Folk Festival, White Springs, FL / The Frank Brown Songwriters Festival, Pensacola, FL / SummerFolk, Owen Sound, ONT and Hugh's Room, Toronto, ONT.
