This album is my thank you to Artist, Songwriters and Producers such as Gladys Knight, Teddy Pendergrass, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Curtis Mayfield, McFadden & Whitehead, Gamble & Huff, and other Soul Artist of the 70âs. With each mention of âOld Schoolâ around the world, you should stand and take your bow as your contribution to the world is absolutely clear and unchallenged. You are amongst my greatest influences and I hope you hear pieces of each you in me as I wish to honor you and remain true to the 70âs soul tradition.

For fans of soul music, I hope this makes you remember that âReggie had a set Friday nightâ. Everyone was there and when you got there, the blue light was glowing from the basement and man was it on. Since the âsetâ had to accommodate everyone, Reggie would turn on the strobe light for those that couldnât dance to funk and then back to the blue light on tracks that made you want to dance real close. Thatâs what I wanted to achieve with tracks like âRainâ and âCanât Let Goâ. So while listening, if the mood strikes, feel free to unscrew that bright white bulb, clean the dust off the blue light and hold someone close for 70s sake.
