Details:
Little Airplane was released domestically in 2002 by Boston-based indie Kimchee Records and overseas in Holland and Belgium on the Dutch label Parkmaker. Blake introduced her record in Europe, playing on Dutch national tv and performing in support of Evan Dando. For her record release in Boston, Hazard was joined by her friend, Tanya Donelly (of Belly). She has also opened for Kristin Hersh, Ben Lee, Joseph Arthur, Juliana Hatfield, and many others and has toured nationally with Evan Dando, The Pernice Brothers, and Dutch indie-rockers Bettie Serveert. For two years she played in the band Jack Drag, touring several times with the band throughout Europe. She also appeared live on the acclaimed radio program, Morning Becomes Eclectic, on KCRW in LA.
She is now in the band, The Submarines, with husband John Dragonetti, who produced and recorded Little Airplane.

Tape Op Magazine: If I controlled what's supposed to be popular radio she'd be in regular rotation.

CMJ New Music Report
Hazard's full-length debut Little Airplane glides along on folk-pop guitar riffs, atmospheric production and electronic touches complimentary to a moonlit stroll with a flirtatious friend. Hazard sings in a rough-edged sugarcane soprano, reminiscent of Juliana Hatfield by way of Mazzy Star's Hope Sandoval. Hazily paced and lilting.

Boston Globe
"Little Airplane,"shows an artist comfortable mixing pop and electronica, and, even jazz. It's a lovely album - rich texturally and emotionally - with Hazard's breathy, seductive, sometimes electronically treated, voice emerging through the intricate instrumental layers. Think of Hazard as you might Beth Orton or Hazard's friend Mary Timony.
