Details:
BLUE HIGHWAYS formed in 1994 with NJ native musicians Chris Fay (rhythm guitar, vocals), Bob Scrabis (guitar, vocals), Ken Ramos (bass, vocals), Kevin Buck (lead guitar) and Don Stoll (drums).

In the winter of 2003, pedal steel guitar legend Buddy Cage of New Riders of the Purple Sage fame began performing and collaborating with the band, and Blue Highways as we know them came to be.

Since their debut with Chris Fay and Bob Scrabis doing an intimate acoustic show at Barry's Tavern in Bradley Beach, NJ, the band has evolved and grown into one of the top roots rock bands around.

They released their debut album, "Late, Lit and Loaded" in the spring of 2002. Recorded at Sheffield Studios and Offstage Recording Studios, "Late, Lit and Loaded" has received healthy radio play and recently earned a spot on NJ Radio 90.5 The Night's Top 90 Albums of 2002, hitting the charts at No. 33.

Blue Highways released "Late, Lit and Reloaded" in the spring of 2004.

Their new release, "Never Again Until Next Time", which was recorded at RetroMedia Sound Studios in Red Bank, NJ was recorded in 2005, and features 10 new tracks of inspiring, heartbreaking reflections on the hardships and challenges of adult life. Mixing rootsy, good time, ballsy rock n' roll, with dreamy washes of pedal steel guitar, the album reflects the various influences that have seeped into the band's powerful and unique sound.

The Jersey coast is the band's primary headquarters and a growing music scene has contributed to the band developing a larger following. The band continues to see their venues, touring and fan base expand. They have performed on east coast television programs, are featured in publications and are invited to appear on live radio music programs often.

Blue Highways have opened for national acts such as The Jazz Mandolin Project w/Jon Fishman of PHISH, Sam Bush, The Black Crowes, Kenny Wayne Shephard, Oteil & the Peacemakers, and Levon Helm, to name some.

"Blue Highways is one of the more important bands to come out of the Jersey scene in the last decade"
