MC Krishoolâs music is a fresh sound that has been described as rich in soul and full of swagga.

The originality of this artist is attributed to his diverse cultural background. Krishool will credit his abilities from his time as a young boy in the Australian Boys Choir and draws his flavour and gravity defying break dancing skills from his birth country of Ghana in West Africa where he spent a lot of his time emulating artists like Lionel Ritchie, Bob Marley and MJ.


Though a strong love of performing had always been present, it was not until moving to Australia and starting high school that the idea of a career in music was taken seriously by the young star. After performing in his school production singing the classic Jazz song 'As Time Goes By', Krishool started receiving attention and encouragement to follow a career in music and as a result was asked to join the school stage band. During this time he played with the band for two years and improvised on a variety of Jazz pieces, from the Chicago big band style of Frank Sinatra to the smoky sultry sounds from the likes of Harry Connick Jr. This is a style of music Krishool had always had a great love and respect for and believes singing with such a fantastic group of musicians was a humbling experience and shaped his unique singing voice.


In 2001, Krishool was introduced to a couple of guys who shared his passion, Paul and Adz with whom a successful male vocal group known as Track 5 was formed. Joining T5 was a ground breaking moment for Krishool and he maintains it paved the way to becoming a more seasoned artist through many talent quests, live radio performances, competitions and gigs. Krishoolâs time with Track 5 was appropriately, tracked for 5 years with accolades including winning the Philips 5 Minutes of Fame national competition, releasing âCrazyâ a Top 50 single on the Aria Charts and having the longest running video clip in the top 10 on Channel V. During 2005 they toured Europe and released a promo album independently through Spin Music.


Having gone there separate ways shortly after the tour, Krishool launched his solo career in 2007 and has been carving up the gig scene performing at various venues around Melbourne.
