Details:
Building on the strength of their first full-length release, this sophomore album finds a tighter, more restrained version of The Monster Show. A new female vocalist significantly alters the terrain on this recording, and the band continues to explore the balance between bold sonic guitar washes and a driving rhythm section, and the smaller gestures created by
the harmonic play between the vocalists.

This record subverts the notions of what makes a pop song: the songs sometimes meander through territory that requires longer than 2-minutes to explore, and they frequently lack a traditional verse/chorus structure, opting instead for a more symphonic approach to songwriting. Working outside the conventional, this record challenges what listeners ought to expect from indie-rock.
