Stephen Smith is a singer/songwriter from Merseyside in England.
His musical career began when he landed the lead guitarist role in a local original band.
It was around this time Stephen first began writing and arranging his own songs and subsequently he formed a new band â glasschild âto perform his material. During this period Stephen achieved some small success with the band, playing to large audiences all over England and Spain.
Following the split of the band Stephen began recording some acoustic demos with friend and fellow musician John Kettle. John, also a songwriter and guitarist had achieved success himself in the 90s with a band called â The Tansadsâ, suggested the pair produced and re-record the demos with the view to making an album.
Two years on and the album is now complete. â Next train to nowhereâ contains 12 very well written tales and will be released in March 2011 on the Purpular Records label.
