SYNPERIUM are a Technical Death Metal band from the Highlands of NSW. Formed in 2005, the band quickly discovered its musical foundations; a sound focused on a brutal metal onslaught that combined speed, technical and groove elements, with inspiration from bands like as Decapitated, Origin, Nile, Necrophagist, Behemoth and Australian powerhouse act, Pyscroptic. These acts influenced the band but it is down to prowess and creative individual flair of Synperium themselves that has blended all they know and all the want to be in order for them to achieve a sound distinct from their peers.

In 2007 the band released the EP, âTransfigurationâ to a very receptive Australian metal scene. The release of Transfiguration allowed the band to spread its music through the music industry and more importantly to the worldwide metal community. To coincide with the release of the EP, Synperium began playing regular shows on the Sydney and Canberra gig circuits, gaining exposure and growing their fan base. Following a string of local shows, Synperium toured the east coast of Australia in June 2008 as the main support act to Finlandâs, âChildren of Bodomâ.

The band spent the best part of 2009 working on their first full length album, only taking time out to rehearse. In this time period they were offered and accepted a support role supporting âCradle of Filthâ in May 2009 in which the band was very well received by the audience.

Synperium grows from strength to strength and they were part of the annual Screamfest Downunder festival sharing the the stage with metal heavyweights such as Cynic, Dark Funeral, Destroyer 666, Malevolent Creation, Edguy, Ensiferum, Rotting Christ, Sonata Arctica and Spawn of Possession.

Now in 2010, the eagerly awaited debut album is to be unleashed on the heavy metal community. It is a ball tearing technical opus of non stop, adrenalin packed arrangements. It will leave any listerner gasping for breathe and in utter disbelief that these guys are homegrown. Synperium are young, hungry and talented. They are ready to amaze you with a world class release that matches and at times surpasses anything else out there in their genre. Get ready to be left speechless!
