Shotgun were one of the pioneering bands of the British Rock 'n' Roll 'n' Rockabilly Revival. In the late 1970s there was a surge of interest in the Rock 'n' Roll sounds of the 1950s, creating a mass following of Teddyboys and Rockers, following such bands as Crazy Cavan and The Rhythm Rockers, The Wild Angels, Shakin' Stevens & The Sunsets, Matchbox and Shotgun.
"Calling The Shots" is an 18 track collection of studio recordings marking this time is Shotgun's career, with tracks dating right back to 1975. There is lots of great original Shotgun material here, along with solid Rock 'n' Roll covers of artists as diverse as Chuck Berry, Tennessee Ernie Ford and Mick Sarne.
