Global Chilling released their first CD â Climbing the Tower of Babel - in late 2008. Their second CD â The Trip Hop Tapes â has just come out. The music is chill out, almost world beat electronica. Guitarist Glenn Dixon is a writer and documentary film-maker from Canada, and his sound samples, from Bedouin drummers in the ruins of Petra to the birdcalls in the rainforests of the Amazon, weave their way through many of the songs.

Andrew Johns, keyboardist extraordinaire, provides a wash of ambient chords and some of the finest piano work this side of Oscar Peterson. He has worked on music projects for the likes of IBM (London), Ford, Oracle, Air Canada and Telus.

The downtempo and trip hop drums come from the mysterious percussionist Akoda U Tse who is, to his great delight, entirely fictional.
