Details:
No matter what is being supplied, a hustler is only as good as his word. With South-Central L.A. serving up some of the most hottest, up & coming product in the rap game, Native son FiA$CO stands as one of the most exciting Artists of hood cool to emerge in years. Thanks to underground testimonials like Bringing Gangsta Back and New West Attitude, FiA$COâs street swagger and authentic lyrical-style has quickly made believers out of some the biggest players in the game, from Frank Nitty to DJ Quik. In his native South-Central L.A., and throughout the west coast, FiA$CO has created nothing short of a soon to be global movement. Now the world will get to find out what insiders have been buzzing about when his Indie debut, One Way Or The Other Drops Later This Year.

Like many hustlers on the mic, rapping wasnât in FiA$CO's original game plan. As CEO of DROP-TOP-YACHT Music Group, FiA$CO was content to stack his paper from the background as well as The fore-front.

Before music I was just trying to survive & do whatever I had to do legal or illegal. I had other artists, my little brother & his two homies from the street, but it didnât work out, says the twenty-eight year old California native. So I just decided to do it by myself. Ainât nobody gone go hard as me was my whole thought process. I saw a bigger picture and wanted to be the star in the lead role. I have a swaggerish way with words and I know how to hustle, especially when I relly want it.

With the lost many family, friends and time (a few county jail bid that he doesnât regret) -FiA$CO had a sense of urgency with his music. So he hit the studio & grinded underground mixtape circuit in the streets with exclusive tracks recorded with longtime collaborator/Co-Defendant Suspect. With over 10,000 mixtapes sold in a little more than a year, Dogz4Life/Ruff-Ryders decided to invest with the young star and made him one of the most recent signees to the label.

Basically, Iâm a real nigga so I can relate more to a lot of niggas, FiA$CO says of his appeal. I donât just do music for the clubs & the ladies, I do music for the struggling inner city. I do music for everyday homie. The niggas, the ladies, the little kids & those wishing for something better in life. Iâm trying to restore some the music back in the west coast hip hop scene as well as morals as far as the streets go.

What sets FiA$COâs music apart is his ability to bring lights, color and flash to any story or song that has been expressed so many times before. Heâs truely a musically crative artist who doesnât need 16 bars to develop a picture for you to see. Soon as he opens his mouth everyone feels it instantly.

Iâm just real with myself. Just as I believe in GOD, I believe in myself in what I can do. I got goals & two sons & a nigga stay motivated twenty-four seven, he says. Just like iI stand on a stage, I stood on the corners & curbs at one time. And it's with that mind frame that I stay driven. My music is to motivate and chill. Letting you know where Iâm from and what
I've seen & trying see, so everybody can take something from it.

The streets responded by snatching up his mixtapes by the box. But now that he has a growing fanbase on the hook, FiA$CO is ready to reel them in slowly, but surely.

I did the mixtapes and love them, but you canât really give it all up, he say's. I believe the people will relate & positively respond to the album. I ainât come into this for no broads or a jeewelry or a car. I been on that! I came into this shit for a spot I seen open for a west coast rap artist of my caliber. Iâma actuality relayer. I ain't gone tell you what you wanna hear cause it sounds good to you, Iâma give it to you straight up from my point of view.

Songs like the revealing Gotta Be A Better Way show FiA$CO sharing many of the wrongs instead of rights in his life he chose as he attempts to fly the next generation straight about the dark side of a gangbang/hustler life in the hood. A lot of the ones I looked up too aren't around anymore that would give me money For the ice cream truck or money for school supplies & school clothes. And I wanna do that now for the ones growing up like me now.

Setting the backdrop for his acuality are a list of the music industries next top producers. The line up is a whoâs who from the west coast & nation, but there will be plenty of FiA$CO to bang in your cars to the bars.

My mission is to restore music and that feel good vibe back into the west coast along with morals to this hood shit, he concludes by saying... Niggas hear niggas who rap, but I want'em to listen to me.
