A tried and true Boomer Sooner the Oklahoma University fanatic can often be found yelling at the games. Patriotic to the core he wrote âI Love the USAâ a few years before 911 and made this his first recording. His influences stretch from Garth Brooks and Jimmy Buffet to Jim Croce and James Taylor. He sang the love song âAngelâ to his wife to be at their rehearsal dinner, leaving no dry eyeâs in the house. Singing party songs that people can drink beer to and shout makes Doc James grin wide. The road takes itâs toll and his songs âRainy Daysâ and "Another Way" identify just how important the thought of a loved one can be when your down and lonely. In this fast moving world singing songs about country, love, and cold beer poolside is just the right speed.
