The general belief is that the singer of the song is also the writer. This is true in some cases but not all. The songs contained on this CD are new, hear them before they are on the radio.

Details:
Aaron was born in San Antonio, TX and began his musical career in a âVariety Bandâ. Driving his bus from place to place he began playing with original melodies and lyrics hoping to create his own songs. His first attempt, âBaby Blueâ recorded by George Strait on the âIf You Ainât Lovinâ, You Ainât Livinââ album and went number one in Billboard.
Aaron began development his own sound, and refining his original material in small clubs and cafes where he would play on weekends. One night after a long father and son talk, he wrote âLove Without End, Amen.â Believing this would be a song that he would play for his family, Barker decided to see what would happen if he sent it to George Strait. Strait recorded it and it stayed at the number one position in Billboard Magazine for five consecutive weeks.
After a recording deal with Atlantic Records, Aaron continued his writing again and landed two number one singles in a row on George Straitsâ, âEasy Come, Easy Goâ album, âIâd Like To have That One Backâ and the title cut. In addition Strait included âDown Louisiana Wayâ and âIâll Always Be Loving Youâ on his album âLead On.â Aaronsâ âHonky-Tonkinâ Foolâ was the first single from Doug Supernawsâ BNA debut album. Doug also released âNot Enough Hours In The Night.â George Strait released âI Know She Still Loves Meâ which can only be found on his box set along with four other great songs of Aaronâsâ. âI Can Still Make Cheyenneâ was released by George Strait and went straight to the number one position. Aaron made the charts his home again with Clay Walkersâ release âWatch Thisâ, and âYouâre Beginning To Get To Me.â Neal McCoyâs âLove Happens Like That,â Aaron Tippinâs âIâm Leavinââ and Lonestarâs single âWhat About Now.â âThe Questionnaireâ on Tracy Lawrenceâs âStrongâ Album is being considered for the next single.
Aaron says âThese are real stories about real life, Iâve lived a lot of life and I have also drawn on the lives of people I have crossed paths with.â His background and the knack for honest, heartfelt communication molded Barker into a songwriter of depth and power, as well as making him a dynamic entertainer. This and more information is regularly updated on our website at www.aaronbarker.com/.
March 3rd of 2002, Aaron released a gift book written about his #1 Hit âLove Without End, Amen.â The book carries a simple, timeless and universal theme âA parentâs Love for a child is truly unconditional.â George Strait was kind enough to add an elegant introduction and included a CD of the recording tucked in the back.
Of special interest to people in the Southern tier of the United States Aaron also writes and sings the Blue Bell Ice Cream Commercials. Such as, âHave Yourself A Blue Bell Country Dayâ and âThe Good Olâ Daysâ.
