Details:
Azamrah's debut album, "Peaceful Moon," features ten original compositions by Donny Trenk and the liner notes have great original art as well as translations of all the songs. The album was recorded in Israel with some of Israel's top recording musicians, namely, Avi Singolda on Guitar, Aryeh Volnitz on bass, Yaron Gotfried on keyboards and string players from the Tel Aviv Symphonic Orchestra. Acoustic guitar and vocals were performed by Daniel Trenk.

Starting with the upbeat yet soulful Shma Koleinu, the melodic L'cha Dodi and a beautiful Shalom Aleichem waltz, these songs accentuate their traditional Jewish lyrics. Shir Hama'aloth experiments with some exotic rhythms, and the rock-tinged Gam Ki Elech showcases the great harmonies and solid instrumentation. A triplet of wedding songs follows: Ode Yishama (folk influence of Diaspora Yeshiva Band), Asher Bara with a great dancing beat, Mi Adir sure to become a popular chupah song, and finally Eishes Chayil rounds out the Hebrew songs. The only English song on the album is title track, describing the future song "never heard before yet within us all along."

The production was intended to engaged the listener in contemplation and immersion into the ancient Hebrew texts by painting a picturesque atmosphere through lush orchestration, sweet melodies and sweeping arrangements. The enclosed cd booklet is an additional treat containing beautiful, evocative artwork by renowned artist Haiim Sherrf (www.Sherrf.com) The producer of the album hopes to inspire people spiritually with this very unique music.
