What a fun pattern that reminds us of be-bop and the 50's and poodle skirts. If you are a poodle lover, it's an anytime treasure!
The afghan is made in tunisian or afghan stitch crocheted squares and the poodles are embroidered on in duplicate stitch embroidery. The stitch for this afghan looks like a knit stockinette stitch. The duplicate stitch instructions and charts are included in the pattern. What a special piece this is when finished!
Finished Size: Approximately 50 x 64 inches
Materials Required: Knitting Worsted, Main Color 52 oz.; Black for Poodles 4 oz.; Red for Collar of Poodles 2 ozs. or a few strands. 32 Rhinestones for Collar and Eyes. Boye 9 inch Afghan Crochet Hook Size I. Blunt End Tapestry Needle.
Gauge: 3 ½ Sts to 1 inch and 4 Rows to 1 inch
