Growing up as an all-American guy, Adam Paul Williams
developed three major themes in his life: a love of
sports, a set of deep family values, and a love of
Christian music.
"Growing up, my dad was in a southern gospel quartet,"
Adam Paul recalls, "and I always traveled around with them
listening to them sing. So from my earliest memories,
I was surrounded by Christian music. Just having a
family who loves the Lord has taught me the importance
of a spiritual walk with Christ. I accepted Christ when
I was nine years old. I had always grown up in church,
and when I realized what I needed to do and felt God
calling me, I decided to accept him." On Father's Day
1991, Adam Paul's parents led him in a prayer of salvation
to his Heavenly Father, and he was baptized just a few
weeks later. Adam Paul's faith has, in the words of Isaiah,
been tested in the furnace of affliction.

"The loss of my girlfriend on August 12th, 2003 taught
me that God has a plan for everything," Adam Paul recalls.
"Though we may not understand his ways, He knows
exactly what He is doing and some day we will
understand."

Adam Paul admits his heart's desire is to be able to sing
the Lord's praises forever. "I love going to churches
and singing for people. No matter what comes of my
professional career, I always want to be able to give
God all the glory. Even if I end up singing on the
street corner, it'll bring me joy because I know I'm
using the gifts God gave me to glorify Him. I'll go
where God leads, and in being where He wants me, I
know I'll always be happy."

"Although I do more contemporary stuff now, I still have
a passion for singing the traditional style.
Along with the contemporary artists like Shane & Shane,
Third Day, Jeremy Camp, and David Phelps, I also
love to listen to the Gaithers, The Cathedrals and other
different genres of music. My Vocal Performance minor
in college opened my eyes to opera and other classical
styles of music. I love singing classical music and a
lot of the techniques have influenced my style." You'll often
