Description:

(ID 1289149)
modern rock, pop, psychedelic, folky pop

12 MP3 Songs
ROCK: Progressive Rock, ROCK: Psychedelic

Details:
The debut full length(following an EP and a series of singles) from Carrboro, NC's Work Clothes. Jenny & Lee Waters, husband/wife collaborative songwriters, spent close to three years writing and recording these twelve hauntingly bittersweet pop gems. Primary recording was done in their own Bless This Mess studio; final mixing was handled by the warm and thoughtful ears of Brian Paulson (Slint, The Rosebuds).

Originally started as a duo, official Work Clothes has recently grown to five full-time members with the additions of former Cub Country bandmates, Jeff Clarke(bass) and Justin Ainsley(drums), as well as Jill Christensen on piano and accordian. While your day may seem to constantly move in fast motion- listening to These Are The Shoes We Wear makes thirty three of these minutes seem to unfold slowly in soothing, golden flashes of brilliant southern pop psychedelia.

RIYL: Galaxie 500, the Secret Stars, Yo La Tengo, the Magnetic Fields and the Essex Green.
