WADE O. BROWN...A PROFILE

When a performer is revered and given props for being "an artists' artist," you know they're legitimate and the real deal. And whether he's singing in his inimitable sensual and velvety style, mesmerizing you with his sheer vocal bravado, or dazzling you as a maestro on the keyboards, Groove United Entertainment recording artist Wade O. Brown, is the just that.

Wade has earned that persona, performing and recording in his adopted home of Toronto, Canada. After receiving a warm reception to his first solo effort, "Complete," (released in 2002), Wade has immersed himself into songwriting and collaborating with a list of top American songwriter/producers including among others, Barry Eastmond, Daryl Simmons, Kipper Jones, Cornelius Mims, Maurice Wilcher and Steve Estiverne. The result is "ALL NIGHT, ALL LOVE," a collection of well-crafted songs that are titillating, infectious, soothing, and mood setting.

"I really wanted to develop a theme around "love-making" songs that would appeal to my peers," explains Wade. "Songs that are sexy and sensual, but tasteful." That sincerity and sense of purpose rings true on tracks like the current single "Maybe," "So Glad," "Where do we go (for love)," and "Put this On." from his current collection.

Wade hopes to expand his burgeoning fan base by conquering the U.S and the rest of the world with, "ALL NIGHT, ALL LOVE," when it is released by Groove United Entertainment and nationally distributed by Bayside/33rd Street Records on August 23, 2005. His first solo entrée, "Complete," in addition to being released in Canada, was an underground import favorite in the UK and garnered a release on the independent soul label, P-Vine Records in Japan. "I owe a lot to my Canadian fans," admitted Wade. "I also really appreciate that people like my music in Japan and other parts of the world, but ultimately, I'd love to build a base for my music back home in the U.S.," he added.

The Detroit born songwriter/singer started cutting his chops as a self-taught keyboard player, playing and singing in his church band and choir in the motor city. He was taken under the wing by one of gospel's most noted singing families, The Clarke Sisters, who helped refine his singing prowess, and by his teens he was performing regularly at gospel shows and conventions throughout the Mid-West.

Wade also started broadening his performing base, and after building a network of friends and musicians in Toronto, he decided to relocate there permanently. He initially fronted a local reggae band, and later assembled his own band, which gained local notoriety and regularly performed in the cities hottest nightclubs and venues, including becoming the house band at Toronto's premiere soul food restaurant, owned by R & B crooner Keith Washington. After that first "big break," Wade continued to build on is popularity, performing with noted recording stars like Aretha Franklin, (at a gala birthday celebration), Quincy Jones (at a special tribute in 2001), Roger Troutman, Glenn Lewis, Divine Earth Essence, and Joe, among others. He's also appeared on the Award-winning hit television series, Soulfood, performed live on Canada's MuchMusic Network, and co-starred in several Toronto-based theatrical productions.

His songwriting/recording career kicked off after hooking up with fellow songwriter/producer and friend Wil Van Zyl. The two formed their own venture, Williwade Music and landed a publishing deal with Warner/Chappell Music. After collaborating on a demo, they were introduced to local musician and studio owner, Dave Sereny. Sereny and Van Zyl eventually teamed together to launch Groove United Productions as an independent label, and released Wade's debut, "Complete."

When you hear Wades' voice, you'll feel the richness of soul and rhythm & blues that has contributed so much to his musical legacy, and you'll know immediately why Wade O. Brown is one of a rare breed, bona-fide...an artists' artist!
