It is well known that God allows circumstances in life to direct His children to the place He wants them to be. I am proof of that.
For 15 years, I was a choral director for Christian Unified Schools of San Diego. The last 7 years were spent at the Junior/Senior High School level and the choral program was growing and ministering at an incredible rate. I thought that I would remain there until I retired many years from now. However, I began to get quite ill and it was discovered that I was severely allergic to something on the campus. After three sinus and nose surgeries, my doctor finally pulled me from the job. It was a very traumatic time for me. I really missed the music, and desperately missed the students that I had grown to love so much.
During one of the dark nights, recovering from surgery and hardly able to breathe, I finally said "Okay, God. What is it that you have for me now?" He responded by giving me a song. Over the next several months, God would give me a line of the words or the melody in the deep, dark hours of the night. The song "I Turn To You" is the answer He gave. I realized that I would have to let go of all I know and place my life completely in His hands.
This recording is a collection of songs and hymns of comfort and hope. These songs have carried me through difficult times and lifted my spirit to worship the One who has the best plans for me. I pray that you are blessed and encouraged.
