Music has been every moment of my life for longer than I can remember, as far back as ZZ Tops, Dana Daneâs song Nightmares, Beastie Boys, Ice Tâs 6 in the morning and the power album, Micheal Jackson, Breathe, Slick Rick, Public Enemy, KRS, Bobby Brown, Special Ed, Run DMC, Rakim, Guru, and you know-- to do something new, something that has not been done before. The successful artist of the old school do not want their sound to return to the top of music and surface. The audience want something new. I understand this, the important thing to do is create and never try to retrace.
Born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised there until the age of fourteen, I was brought to the hood of south central Los Angeles a few months before the Rodney King riots. At the time Ice Cube had it locked down and I wouldnât turn my radio off. But I did not get involved until high school, free styling busting and taking respect, shortly after graduating to the local hip hop clubs and open mic life, project blow ,the good life, the dragons den etc. It became a part of me, a way to not only tell my story, but make music that inspired others to do the same.
