Details:
Born in Montevideo, UY on the 23 december 1981.
At the age of 7 he began his studies in the N.E.MUS. conservatory. He stays there until the age of 13 when he decides to start playing jazz with Fernando Goycochea as a teacher. At the age of 15 he starts his musical activity first as a bass player then keyboards with the band CAVE CANEM. Along with this his interest for the jazz and instrumental music keeps growing through different experiences in different groups, supported by the help of the Cuban piano player Juan Prada radicated in Uruguay. At the same time he auditions for the University School of Montevideo where with the help of the Concert piano player Elida Gencarelli he developes his classical technique.
Since there he starts his career as a jazz piano player too and often starts assisting to jam sessions. He plays with people like Hugo Fattoruso, Osvaldo Fattoruso, Francisco Fattoruso, Fernando Michelin, Max Viana, Wilson de Oliveira, Hector Bingert, Carlos Lastra, Raynald Colom, Javier Colina, Perico Sambeat, Marc Miralta, Oscar Giunta, Samuel Torres, Sofia Koutsovitis, Federico Britos, among others.
Later on that year he Plays in the Montevideo Jazz festival called Montevideo Jam which is a 4 day festival carring musicians from Uruguay and abroad.
That same summer he works for the band of Crazys, a famous comical Uruguayan carnival group winning an award for the best band of the 2002 Carnival.
In the next year Ignacio starts playing the piano for the Trio Salu, a tango trio whith which he toures in france On December 2003. Two months after that he returns to Montevideo to continue with his activity in the Tango area.
He also plays and gives workshops in many cities and provinces in Uruguay all along that year with different formations and styles.
In 2003 hes also invited to play Jazz and Bossa nova with the Symphonic Band of Montevideo playing several concerts. Repeting this in august that same year.
In the beginning of 2004 he starts playing with the bass player Popo Romano which with he assists to many jazz festivals too.
Later that year he plays as the opening band for Paquito D Rivera, gaining great recognition from Paquito.
At the same time hes invited to once again to play with the Symphonic Band of Montevideo.
Later on he records with the Uruguayan drummer radicated in germany Diego Piñeira.
He also gets in the salsa area playing with different groups too.
Also that same year he Is the piano player for the broadway musical Chicago wich took place in Montevideo, Uruguay and Punta del Este, in august through December 2004.
Hes also called by Hector Bingert (Uruguayan Sax Player radicated in Sweden) to do a concert in Montevideo, Uruguay.
In the beginning of 2005 he plays in the 5th edition of the International Jazz Festival of Lapataia, in with he gain great reviews on newspapers.
In this year he does several studio works producing and side playing with different people, No hay reflejo-CAVE CANEM, La casa amarilla- Fernando Labrada, Otra Mañana-Popo Romano.
At the end of that year the old Trio Salu becomes the quinteto Salute, including Nicolas Mora on bandoneon.
Hes also hired as a keyboard player to play with the brasilian singer Teresa Maria who went to Uruguay to present her CD.
In October 2005 hes invited to play with the band Once Tiros (famous rock band in Uruguay and Argentina) whith which he does several Massive concerts being considered a big support in the sound of the band.
Also that same year he plays with the band Triple Nelson and shares stage with people like Ruben Rada and Fernando Cabrera, big names in the Uruguayan Pop music scene.
In 2006 Ignacio is awarded for his career with money ( donât know how to say it better) which he uses to realize his first Leading recording Desordenes Ordenados wich is taken to different cities in Europe.
In 2007 he starts working as a Showband piano player for the Cruiseship company Carnival Cruise Lines receiving the best cualifications as a piano player. In 2008 he participate in the jazz festival Jazz a la Calle in Mercedes, Uruguay. He also records in the 3rd recording of Once Tiros.
At the beginning of 2009 he records with the Bass Player Federico Righi, along with Martin Ibarburu and Benjamin Barreiro. Realizing different concerts too all along Uruguay.
In later 2009 hes invited to play a concert with the famous Uruguayan violin player radicated in Miami, Federio Britos, together with the Symphonic Orchestra.
He also records with the bass player Nacho Mateu his 2nd recording Santos Domingos.
In the summer of 2010 he is the conductor and keyboard player of the band of a TV show in Uruguay called 2010 juga.
In this days Ignacio is called by different artists to perform as a sessionist.
His last work was with Max Viana son of the famous brazilian singer Djavan.
Recently located in New York City, Ignacio brings his own music to the Big Apple's music scene.
