No Effort or expense has been spared in the preparation of these double-live disks and the supporting album art and information. Years of touring from York Harbor, Maine to Talkeetna, Alaska have been supplemented by six months of sorting and reviewing live performances recorded over a thirty-years period. Although others have attempted to release acoustic and rock works consecutively, here are both in the same work at the same time. The first disk contains a selection of the best live performances from Tom's original ballads, love songs, folk songs, and arranged tracks with a country feel. The second disk is an astounding collection of Tom's best blues and rock performances, capturing ten cuts of hard driving, relentless blues and rock.

Those receiving the disks in the test audience have been stunned. Tom's fellow defense lawyers and ADA's that have heard the work are impressed beyond words after wondering for years what he was doing in Columbus and Alaska. On May 9, 2006, the initial release brought raves from a capacity crowd at Dick's Den in Columbus, Ohio, marking a rousing start to the 2006 Absolutely Live Tour.
