Traditionally in hip hop a rapper has to have a stage name. I have chosen âThe Elderâ because I consider myself to be an originator of âHoly Hip Hop/Gospel Rappâ. I started writing and rapping in 1983. Most of the songs on this project were copy written in 1987 under a collection called âBefore We Were Using Elevated Speechesâ. An Elder is one who is mature in the faith and speaks with authority as unctioned by the Holy Ghost. I am called and chosen to do this work.
I Thank God He always finishes what He starts. Phil. 1:6 (KJV)
Be confident of this very thing, that He which begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:
