The Dubplates are a classic reggae riddim band. A traditional riddim band knows all the classic and popular instrumental versions and playing behind several vocalists each night. In this case The Dubplates back seven vocalists.

Papa Robbie, Daddy Brady, Big Hair, Rudiments, Dub Denizen and Shawn Legare all performed with/as Dub Island Soundsystem since 2002. These artists do all the vocal work except for the golden voice of King Sing.

For the last 5 years, Dub Island & The Dubplates have performed in the Outer Banks at Real Kiteboarding's Triple-S. Just returned from a tour in the British Virgin Islands as part of the BVI Kite Jam. The finale of this event had The Dubplates headlining a party on Sir Richard Branson's Private Island.
