David Bowen is a veteran multi-instrumentalist and balladeer presenting a new and eclectic recording of traditional songs and tunes mostly Irish, but with several Scottish and old-time American pieces included. Davidâs singing and playing has been heard on the traditional music concert, pub and dance scene from coast to coast, and at over thirty music festival venues in the United States, Canada, and Ireland. This debut CD offering presents a great singing voice with a fresh and accomplished instrumental style, the latter reflected in his being a two-time medal winner in the prestigious Fleadh Cheoill All-Ireland music championship competitions. Bowen's work is noted for employing contemporary acoustic instrumental styling but yet not compromising the traditional roots of his music .
