Jade T. Phillips, better known by his stage name Boy Jenius, is an inspiring American Hip Hop artist. At 13, Boy Jenius began his music career in Louisville, KY under the tutelage of rapper and producer, Ray Reap (Raymond Nelson). Boy Jenius talents were quickly exploited as he rose to become a local area icon on Louisville, KYâs West End.

Although opportunities were not readily obtainable for displaying his gifted nature, Boy Jenius negated to sit idly by and let his talents diminish so he began increasing his hours in the studio writing and producing various mix tapes. After the correlation of several songs, Boy Jenius began posting samples of his solid work on web sites such as Facebook, Mancini Ent, Slip-N-Slide, Team Bigga Rankin, Isl Def Jam and Reverbnation which led to his growth in popularity within Louisville and other areas nationwide. Boy Jenius released his first mix tape entitled, âBetta S3D D3n DuNâ in Nov 2010 which he contributed the records success to the aforementioned sites for their worldwide exposure. He is set to release his second mix tape, â2011 ChroniclesâSimply Jeniusâ March 2011.

Boy Jenius abilities have transcended nonstop since his young age with no end in sight to his flair. He is often praised by fellow rappers Gutta (Deshawn Washington) and Swavas (Jeremy Basel) for his ability to compose and express his music in such a versatile fashion. As he continues to amaze those around him, Boy Jenius continues his pursuit towards his own recording contract so the world can genuflect upon his energy.

In recent weeks Boy Jenius has climbed the charts on the popular site Reverbnation chart for new upcoming artist in the Louisville area and was a featured new artist on Street Market Radio. He has appeared in various talent showcases in the Louisville area and has received positive and inspiring praises from A&R Representatives throughout the music industry. Marked as a future aspect of Hip Hop and Rap music. His dynamism is astonishing.
