Details:
Dick Weissman was a member of the legndary folk-pop group the Journeymen, with Scott
mcKenzie and John Phillips. Over the years he has developed a reputation, as a "respected and original" banjo and guita playing, to quote Portland's Williamette Week.

The Solo album is the first album on which he plays all the parts without additional musicians. There are 11 banjo pieces, 3 guitar pieces, and 1 tunefor 12 string guitar. Scott Mckenzie says "I always loved your banjo playing, but i was amazed at the wide range of your guitar work."

The tunes are all original compositions, and vary between roots-based music, and humorous takes on bluegrass and even flamenco music. the 12 string guitar piece uses an unusual tuning, and come of the string are played individually, not as pairs.
