Description:

(ID 1294759)
A stark vision of Northwest Americana drawn from the band's roots in folk, rock, country, and acoustic traditional music featuring the singer/songwriting team of Marv & Rindy Ross, formerly of Quarterflash.

15 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Folk, FOLK: Modern Folk

Details:
"Oregon Stories" paints a stark vision of Americana drawn from the band's roots in folk, rock, country, and traditional music. The ghosts of Stephen Foster, Woody Guthrie, or Bill Monroe might be heard echoing through these 15 originals, but the imagery uniquely embraces the Northwest from timbertowns to longhouses; from rainbelts to meadowlarks.

The Trail Band features vocalists Rindy Ross (Quarterflash) and Lex Browning (Great Plains). Fiddles, pennywhistle, mandolin, hammer dulcimer, piano, banjo, guitars, drums, and full brass distinguish their new traditionalist sound.

"...an exuberant, classy and wide-ranging display of original tunes and traditional folk and acoustic music..."
Lynn Darroch, The Oregonian
