Trio Encompas was rehearsing when this disc was recorded as part of the RPM Challenge. Much of the music on this disc was completely improvised.

Jonathan Blakeslee was active in the free music scene in Portland, OR, before returning to his New England roots. Jonathan listens to a variety of music, drawing a great deal of inspiration from Dutch Avant Garde players.

Mike Walsh is one of the busiest drummers in the New England area, serving as the first-call drummer for most of the better seacoast area bands. A full-time teacher and performer, Mike has established himself in a number of genres.

Thom Keith is a avocational musician. He is schooled through listening to a wide variety of Jazz, preferring the dirtier sounds of David S. Ware and David Murray among contemporary players.
