Toni Anderson has been singing since the age of five.

She started out in the church where she spent her formative years honing her craft in Gospel and Jazz. Her musical thirst soon led her to explore the worlds of classical and jazz music, where she discovered Ella Fitzgerald, the focus of her musical inspiration.

Her foray into musical theatre started early with âThe Wizâ, the Motown rendition of the classic âThe Wizard of Ozâ (Circa 1986). After high school, she went on to polish her innate talents with tenure at the Music Theatre Performance Programme at Sheridan College in Ontario, Canada. During this time, Toni further refined her craft by utilizing Italian Ariaâs, a form of training employed in Classical performances. Her pursuits during her college years included dancing, (Tap, Modern Jazz, & Ballet) and acting (Shakespeare, Dramas, Scene Studies, Film and Television).

Toni is a seasoned professional, jaunting into the recording industry fresh from her lead role in the Broadway hit, Disneyâs âThe Lion Kingâ, at the Princess of Wales Theatre in Toronto. Additional theatrical performances include âMarat/Sadeâ, âNunsense 2â, âStepping Outâ, and âThe Adventures of a Black Girl in Search of Godâ at the Harbourfront Centre in Toronto.

Toni has performed as a soloist at the Niagara and Windsor Casino in Ontario, Canada and Halifax Casino in Nova Scotia; the Toronto Jazz Festival; The Toronto Metro Convention Centre; Roy Thompson Hall in Toronto: Harbourfront Festival of Lights; Paramount Canadaâs Wonderland and Canada Dayâs Annual Birthday Bash. Her voice has graced many childrenâs programmes, jingles and commercials. In her acting stints she shone in her lead role in the television production, âA Christmas Miracleâ and in her guest appearance on Showtimeâs hit tv series âSoul Foodâ.

âYou and Iâ, Toniâs collaboration with the legendary Luciano, was number one on the popular radio station, CHRY 105.5 FM in Toronto. She is also enjoying considerable airplay on other major radio stations in Canada.


Toni has just completed her infectious debut album, âYou are the Oneâ which is being produced by Andrew âMetroâ Stephens of Unison Entertainment and Byron Bobby Treasure of Treasure Chest Productions. The title track is a beautiful Reggae ballad, a blending of distinctive percussion tracks and spine-tingling acoustics, which exemplifies the rich tapestry of Toniâs sound.
