An eclectic mix of folk, rock and West-coast country, stylistically between Blonde on Blonde-era Dylan and Exile on Main Street-era Stones.
11 MP3 Songs
COUNTRY: Country Rock, ROCK: Folk Rock
Details:
It didn't take Oklahoma-raised TJ McFarland long to decide he belonged in California after his experience recording his brand new EP, "TJ McFarland & The Revolvers" at Radio Recorders in Hollywood. Within months of the EP release, the 26-year old singer/songwriter with 3 independent records under his belt was living in LA and laying the foundation for what would become his current project and first produced by Pride Hutchison and Michael Dumas. Enlisting the talents of Dwight Yoakam's and Lucinda Williams' bands along with other notables including Waddy Wachtel, 11 songs (all written or co-written by McFarland) were recorded. The result, according to Explosive Records partner Scott Hutchison, is an eclectic mix of folk, rock and West-coast country, stylistically between Blonde on Blonde-era Dylan and Exile on Main Street-era Stones.
