Tinfoil Releases Dead Language November 2005

Tinfoil has returned to the music scene with the best release of their career, Dead Language. This release features 14 new songs that feature the current Tinfoil line up of Cher Bibler, Rod Gillespie, Dave Harms, Joe Lewis and Rich Patterson. Dead Language represents a change in direction from Tinfoil's last CD, Queer. "Queer was recorded during a rough period. We had been playing heavy for two years and some of the members were leaving. As a result, the recordings were compromised," explains Tinfoil singer Cher Bibler. "This release features five people who love making music together and it shows." The new CD features songs about forbidden love, disillusioned friends, prescription drug addiction, teenage death and eating disorders. "The songs are all written about real life situations that we have lived through. They give the listener a slice of life in Northwest Ohio through the eyes of five people from Tiffin," says bassist Joe Lewis. "We have hard rock, punk, hippie and blues on the new CD. Its one of the reasons I joined the band, I like the diversity," says guitarist Rod Gillespie.

The CD was recorded in Tinfoil's own studio, Junk Records during the spring and summer of 2005. "I really enjoyed working in Junk," says drummer Rich Patterson. "Other bands I have played with have always had to rush recording because they were paying by the hour. I am really happy with the results of this record." "This CD contains some of my favorite Tinfoil songs we have ever written. It represents a growth in the band in songwriting, playing and production," adds Dave Harms. The band has been performing Dead Language live all over the Midwest, request them at a club near you.
