Details:
The Band:

Ten Feet Tall is a high-energy blues/funk band from the Washington, DC metro area. Since the group first burst on to the scene, audience members and club owners alike have been amazed at the sheer amount of energy emanating from the stage. From the unique sounds of a lead-harmonica player, to the soulful, heartfelt vocals, to the infectious groove of one of the tightest (and funkiest) rhythm sections in the area, the music just grabs fans wherever they are...and never lets go!

Although all of the band members have deep roots in the DC area, their musical backgrounds span a diverse range of styles. The major strength of the group is in the way they unify these disparate influences into a unique
yet familiar sound that has impressed even the most demanding of critics and electrified fans throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.

The Album: "Five to Drive"

"Five to Drive" is the band's first full-length album of original material.

Highlights include the album's first tune, the upbeat, pop/rock song "Single Thing." Add a bit more funk and the band's signature single "Get Up" (Track 3) is certainly a great tune to groove along to, while it showcases each of the band members. "Instant" (track 6) and "Right
Direction" (track 7) show a more reflective side of the band. And "100 Days" (track 9) is a high-energy "bullet" that shows-off the group's versatility as the band's two vocalists swap their usual lead/backup roles.

While the band is flattered to be often compared to Blues Traveler, some of the other major influences of the band range from Jimi Hendrix and Phish to P-Funk and Steely Dan.

Ten Feet Tall is:

Scott Price: lead Vocals, backing vocals, tambourine
Rob Lowe: harmonica, vocal on track 5, sock cymbal tech
Josh Himmelsbach: guitar, mandolin, backing vocals, lead vocals on tracks 4 & 9, sock cymbal roll on track 7

Jeff "Flawless" Cohen: drums and vocal on track 5
