She was born and now resides in Eugene, OR. Studied classical violin for 10 years and has played independently for the past 11 years. Taught herself how to play the piano by ear in high school, quickly followed by guitar in college. She met Scott, her husband now of 7 years, in California on a missions project in the summer of 2000. After moving to Indiana, Scott's home, they traveled with the Purdue University's Campus Crusade worship band, "Broken String", in the summer of 2001. After recording their first album, East of Everything - Angel's Wings, in West Lafayette, Indiana, they moved to Nashville, Tennessee where they lived for 3 years. They attended Fellowship Bible Church and helped with the high school ministry as well as worship ministries. In the summer of 2005, Marisa graduated from college with her Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education. They decided to move to Oregon while halfway through recording their second album, Marisa - Long Way from Home, at their home recording studio. She recently finished a worship cd now available. They now worship and serve at Ekklesia Eugene, and also play with Caleb and Sol, an up and coming musical group.
