The debut album of the Hilversum based piano pop band Only Seven Left is called âForever Is A Lieâ. Nothing lasts forever â it seems to be a very wise statement for a band with an average age of sixteen. But Only Seven Left doesnât sound like a starting band. The poetic lyrics are very deep and their music is professionally recorded. Inspirations for Only Seven Left are bands like Something Corporate, Keane and Thirteen Senses.

The production of âForever Is A Lieâ was done by Bram de Wijs (Impossible Situations, Wagtale), the mastering by Martijn Groeneveld (Solo, A Balladeer) and the artwork by Pankra Studio (Solo, Sally Forth). The cd was released by the independent record label Stuck In A Day Records, which is based in Amersfoort. The label about Only Seven Left: âOnly Seven Left is a band with a lot of potential, and we can honestly say that we are very proud of this release!â

Only Seven Left was founded in the early months of 2005 and in that same year they were asked to contribute a song on âPlanet Heartbreakâ, a compilation-cd by Stuck In A Day Records. The band made a non-budget video and this is how âLast Nightâ turned out a hit on the internet. The peak of this was a top-3 spot in the charts of Ongekend Talent, a Dutch community for underground music.

The recordings for the CD âForever Is A Lieâ, which was recorded in several home-studios, started in the summer of 2006. Youngster magazine TED makes a report about the band.
The interview leveled up the popularity of the guys: forums of girl magazines on the internet were spammed about Wouter, Jochem, Roderick Hinne and Bram.

Paradiso
In 2007 Only Seven Left played some very intimate acoustic shows in which they brought âForever Is A Lieâ to the crowd. An attractive album with catchy piano pop songs and emotional lyrics. Brought to you by guys with big dreams. And by that time, those dreams were getting a bit more real: loads of positive reviews were received and the band was chosen to be âLocal Heroâ by pop magazine LiveXS. Because of this, Only Seven Left was asked to play in legendary venue Paradiso. National radio station 3FM got their hands on âForever Is A Lieâ, and Only Seven Left was pronounced âSerious Talentâ.

Tina
Girls magazine Tina also has a fling for the guys and asks the band to come play at their annual âTinadagâ (âTina dayâ) with over a 10.000 girls attending. Only Seven Leftâs television debut was on Villalive, the Sunday morning show of VPRO. In June 2007 the band was selected by the judges of Grolsch Grote Prijs van Nederland for a showcase. The adventures of Only Seven Left were broadcasted online by producing company Lekkernummertje.com as a reallife-soap.

It can get hectic from time to time: a pile of homework to do and a huge list with upcoming shows. But the Only Seven Left-boys are ambitious enough to combine this in a successful way!
