Steve Scheffler was born in Riverside California in Dec. of 1952. Steve has traveled the world over due to his father's career in the United States Air Force. His exposure to the life styles and cultures of many third world countries shaped his heart and gave him a tremendous love for people. Coming to America in the early 60's and being exposed to the racial riots and then soon afterward to the horrors of the Viet Nam war, it wasn't long before Steve fell prey to drugs and the disillusionments of life.
This would be the platform of Steve's musical career, wherein he tried to get into the market by writing songs about the horrors of life, drugs and the need for loving one another. Ultimately becoming very ill from drug use, Steve was drawn into the satisfying graces of becoming a Christian in 1971. The whole of his music career changed as he from then on wrote all about the love and mercies of God. He is now residing in Virginia where he owns his own business in audio and video production.
Steve's music always strikes a chord with people and as Steve says, "If the music God has given me reaches only one person, then my mission is complete."
