Details:
This 12th Album compilation CD highlights the last five years playing overseas with numbers selected by Peter Cowden of Jazzology Records for 2006 overseas release.

John Edser on Kid Ory trombone and blues-brothel hollers; Maestro Michael Hallam on trumpet, Satchmo Scat and Harmonica; âProfessorâ Jack Wiard on clarinet, Benny Goodman once said âwho the hell is thatâ; Peter Hogan on drums; John McClure on bass; Mike Hart or Kit Carey, banjo chicken pluckers; Century Traveller Tom Wood on punching piano/keyboard lifting the band for a sensational bottom heavy ensemble swing. A colourful cast of characters at the forefront of the Australian jazz scene and have provided a good-time âhard act to followâ for more than 20 years. They have notched up shows across Europe, USA, Canada, India and Japan.

The bandâs professional approach has made a strong impact on the jazz scene both locally (Festival of Sydney 50,000 attendees) and at many prestigious international jazz festivals overseas.

All high energy encore performance, this bunch of individuals was playing in the 60s and 70s and is now in their 60s and 70s!

Professional crowd pleasers giving the audience their monies worth with many cameo tributes emulating Louis Armstrong, Kid Ory, Benny Goodman, and Gene Krupa.

At home in every traditional jazz style from New Orleans through Dixieland and spiritual to swing taking impromptu requests from the audience from âOver the Wavesâ to âBlue Monkâ via âBrahms Lullaby. Risk reputations and book them, itâs going to be a blast!
