My music is a personal exploration of my subconscious.
Roaming the shorelines from Maine to Labrador by sea kayaking and hiking helps open my mind and access musical thoughts.
I am mostly influenced by Classical and Baroque composers Folk Music. The music is tonal without a lot of dissonance.
My favorite artists are the Impressionists, Dutch Landscape Artists and The Canadian Group of Seven as well as contemporary landscape artists in Quebec. Among my favorite writers are Haldor Laxness from Iceland and Jose Saramago.
It would please me very much if the music brings any joy or meaning to others. Music cannot directly solve problems, but it seems to be very important to life. We are living in very difficult times, but I believe if we can join in peace instead of war, humanity will rise to unknown heights, so we can connect with ourselves, others, nature and the cosmos.
