Details:
Syncrosystem adapts the multitude of sounds and rhythms from around the planet to its unique instrumentation, resulting in a fresh new twist on the grassroots music scene. Just imagine a mythical session where Ry Cooder meets David Grisman, meets Carlos Santana, meets James Brown, and you are beginning to hear the possibilites of a Syncrosystem party.

The global groove phenomenon known as Syncrosystem was born 2+ years ago in Ashland, Oregon as an acoustic duo featuring mandolin, lapsteel, and cuban tresero Christian Runge teamed with guitarist Peter Gross. After relocating to the Bay Area, the group has expanded to include as many as seven seasoned musicians. Most often they are seen as a quintet, fusing the unique instrumentation and chemistry of melodic maestros Runge and Gross, with the rhythmic pulse of drummer Chris Horgan, the fiery percussion of Julian Gerstin, and the earth shaking bottom end of Yoshi Sako on the electric bass.

Syncrosytem has most recently played to captivated and dance crazed audiences at the Boom Boom Room and the Last Day Saloon in San Francisco, the Jupiter in Berkeley, Moe's Alley in Santa Cruz and various other venues throughout Northern California and Oregon. Members have shared the stage with: OM Trio, Alice DiMicele Band, Kotoja, Zulu Spear, Avi Bortnick (of the John Scofield Band), Jesse Malloy (of Carlos Washington's Giant People), Chicken Hersh (Pharoah Sanders), and members of Hamsa Lila, and Counting Crows.
