Sought Out

Sought Out is comprised of sisters Cynthia Guinn (C.C.) and Roni Quarles, their niece, Sherita Newman, Cority "C.Q." Quarles, and "Scoonie" Quarles, Roni's husband and son. C.C. and Roni sang with their brother, Wendell, in a group called "The Gospel Melodies." C.C. and Roni were always singing and harmonizing together as little girls while doing their chores or walking home from the grocery store. their favorite pastime was singing jingles from radio and TV commercials. They often made up their own amusing songs to relieve the boredom of painting walls and hanging wallpaper. Theirs was the task of putting their younger nieces and nephew to sleep at night, so they sang
lullabies and songs they had learned in school and in church. When Sherita was old enough, they began to teach her the lullabies and other songs, and before long she was also singing her cousins to sleep. of course, they sang in choirs at the churches they attended. C.C., Roni, and "C.Q." (pianist) began singing as teenagers with the award-winning family group, "The Speight sisters" of Washington, D.C. they sang with the group for twenty five years. during those years "C.Q" began playing keyboards for different artists in recording sessions, and before long he was producing artists. He pulled C.C., Roni, and Sherita into these sessions as backup vocalists (which they still do). The calls for them to perform at weddings and special services began to pour in.
In 1994 through a prophetic word, god said that it was the season for these three to go forth in ministry. Each are ministers in their own right, and God has anointed them to bring healing and deliverance through their singing and exhortation.
