Solid Entity is an underground rap group consisting of producer and MC extraordinaire Chanj (fka as Rekks), and the man who handles the business side in addition to frequently destroying the mic in a single take, Psychlone. Solid Entity released their debut CD, Worth the Weight, on Red Potion Records in 2001 and is currently wrapping up work on the still unnamed follow up CD to be released in March of 2007. Solid Entity is also in the process of creating a website at http://www.solidentity.com.
Solid Entity shows their versatility on their album by exploring a variety of topics, such as road rage, revenge, reminiscing, and other various emotions. In addition, the title track is an autobiographical account of how Solid Entity began. The beats range from dark and ominous to head-bobbin, laced with lyrics and flows that come from the heart while always staying on point. The vocal deliveries of Psychlone and Chanj (known as Rekks on this album) are adaptable and seem to blend perfectly with each song. Whether itâs straight bragging or coming with deeper topics, Solid Entity have proven that they can do it all with this release.
