Details:
When listening to Ahmed Soultan's first album, one finds himself literally carried away with delight by the flow of these new sensations emanating from his musical universe.
Actually, Ahmed Soultan has been thinking his creation with an innovative spirit, giving it,that way, it's full meaning thus, the pieces with wich the artsit honours us, all his album long, could not be categorized in any musical register, because of their sweet originality.

Born in Morocco, in a village of the region of Souss, Ahmed Soultan spent his youth in France, ponctuated with regular way-backs to his country of origin, where soaked himself in the surf-culture, taking up,each time again with his roots, and deciding,at last,to join his native Morocco for good.
Showing first little interest for music, his open-mindedness and curiosity still pushed him to take some concords out of a guitar, borrowed by a chance encounter.
But in 1997 that his artistic instinct asserts itself:time when Ahmed Soultan crosses again the path of two old friends, once met at school, and forming today the french band named "Afrodiziac".
With them, he will learn the wheels of the business, discovering that way, what's underneath it all this encounter will prove to be decisive and will mark a radical turning point in his artistic conception.
Though he is not a commonly called "committed artist",Ahmed Soultan still tries to arouse people consciousness, advocating, then, tolerance.

But,his album tends to be more than a simple claim,it is the outcome of an innovating quest, giving birth to what Ahmed Soultan takes pleasure in calling "Arabic Urban Music".
This subtle mixture of influences dares arabic texts put on stirring mid-tempos,offering,that way, very new horizons to Moroccan Music......
