Sam Tepper was born in 1988 in Seattle, and currently lives in Pound Ridge, NY. He became interested in the blues through the teaching of Annieville in the Pacific Northwest, and has attended the Centrum Blues Workshop in Port Townsend, Washington every summer.
In the summer of 2002, Sam Tepper was selected as the one teen pianist to perform at the Cincinnati Queen City Blues Festival on the Arches Boogie Piano Stage. There, he played with Big Joe Duskin. Mr T, Ricky Nye, Caroline Dahl, and Ann Rabson, while sharing the stage with over twenty other blues and boogie pianists from around the world. He has played yearly gigs on Cape Cod, and has performed in Seattle, as well as Vista, Pound Ridge, and White Plains, NY. This CD was recorded at Blackeagle Studios in Washington State in early 2005.
