After more than 3 years since their last album, Snap Robinson is back in the saddle with Phase In Phase Out. The album was recorded over the past two years, and at times it seemed as though the record might not happen. Unlike most CD's, when the first tracks were laid down in 2002 the band had no intention of releasing an album. The group had just suffered the loss of a key member and at the time was simply trying to find direction. The group had written several new songs, all very unlike their old material, and needed to hear the music to determine if they should continue down this new path. The original recording sessions were simply to document the band's progress as a quartet over the next year. As it turned out, those early demos became the backbone of the new album, and inevitably the band found its direction.
